What you need to know about workers’ compensation claims

Workers’ compensation claims are governed, in part, by Florida Statutes section 440.  Some benefits you may be entitled to include:

Temporary Total Disability benefits (TTD) – when your workers’ compensation doctor places you out of work completely.

Temporary Partial Disability benefits (TPD)- when your workers’ compensation doctor places you on restricted duty.

Impairment Benefits (IB) – when your workers’ compensation doctor places you at Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI) and assigns you a Permanent Impairment Rating (PIR).

Permanent Total Disability benefits (PTD) – when your workers’ compensation doctor’s opinion and other vocational factors demonstrate that you are permanently disabled from work.
